    • Microsoft® guarantees 99% uptime. Microsoft® SharePoint® Online is housed around the world in secure datacenters. Microsoft® maintains redundancy across servers and datacenters so if a datacenter goes down SharePoint® is still accessible.
      Compare this to an in-house solution. If the internet goes down or your server crashes you could be offline for a very long time.
  • We're worried about security? If our documents are on the internet aren't they more susceptible to hackers?
    • Small business firewalls are often breached by attackers and malware downloaded internally by users. A virus or breach in security could cause serious repercussions to your business and credibility.
    • Microsoft® maintains an advanced level of security. Their datacenters are ISO 27001 complaint and meet a wide variety of industry standards and certifications. Microsoft® uses SSL encryption, requires secure passwords and requires users to change their passwords every ninety days. They also maintain 24/7 monitoring and support. The chances of your in-house file server being breached are probably higher than a hacker breaching Microsoft's infrastructure.
